This logo was designed for the Council for Exceptional Children. Every year a new logo is designed for their annual convention. Next year the convention was held in San Antonio Texas. I started out looking at tourist attractions that were located in San Antonio and compiled a mood board of images. The Director of my organization wanted a design that could be placed on different types of promotional collateral. I made several designs before deciding on utilizing the River Walk as the muse for the 2024 logo. The multisized abstract triangles represent the umbrellas that you see when you visit the River Walk. I chose a rustic color scheme to match the country feel you get when you talk about Texas and I chose typefaces that reflected that as well. I added distressed effects to the vector to emphasize that country feeling.
